Being the change.

Born and raised in the city of Toronto, Keneisha has centered her career around engaging people and impacting communities.

She is an international Event professional with nearly 10 years of experience. Helping both private and public organizations execute small to large-scale events within the social, not-for-profit, and corporate spaces.

Events were not always her first career choice but the path was determined many years ago. At the tender age of 11, she attempted to create a festival at a local park with her Neighbour. Although it didn’t generate the traction she has since experienced in her career it was definitely a stepping stone.

Throughout middle school and high school, she continued the journey in serving people and building experiences.  Whether it was being a peer mediator or a member of the Student Advisor committee you could always find her involved and collaborating to create positive experiences for others.

She attended Ryerson University and studied Communications and Marketing. Upon graduating she briefly worked behind the music scenes helping with PR and communication strategies. Shortly after, she transitioned into a job that didn't align with her ambitions. That is when, she founded SHESOFAB - a lifestyle company dedicated to empowering women through online content, campaigns, and social events. During this time she realized Events were an outlet to connect to others. She would soon enroll in the Events Management Graduates program at Humber College and from there dived deeper into events.

Since then, she has successfully managed and executed countless conferences, roadshows, festivals, workshops, hack-a-thons, seminars, meetings, trade shows, town halls, pop-ups, fundraisers, fashion shows, hybrid and virtual meetings.

In 2020 she founded the Black in Events Network – a globally inclusive initiative to amplify and create economic, educational social, opportunities for Black professionals working in the events industry. The company was initiated to help close the gap on lack of ethnic representation within the events industry.

She is passionate about giving back her time. She has volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society, Big Brother, and Big Sisters, Ryerson Tri-Mentoring, and many more organizations. She is also a mentor at the Scarborough Women’s Center and the Content Marketing Institute (CMI).  She is a task force member at the Event Industry Council within their Centre for Sustainability and Social Impact. She is also a task force member of the Event Well DEI committee. In 2021 she became top 100 most influential people in the events industry.

When she is not busy with work, you can find her being a basketball mom, listening to music, or baking.
